Close to the northern edge of the Costa Blanca, Valencia is a thriving industrial and cultural centre with a cosmopolitan feel. It has both sea and air ports and is served by good road and rail links to the rest of Spain but especially the coastal regions.
The first sight of Valencia from the air is exciting and inviting. The warm
blue sea and almost year-round sunshine is what tempts many to revisit and then
consider making a home, or at least a second home here. Little wonder since
Spain is within two or three hours of the UK and has everything to suit
everybody, as long as you know where to find it, and at a more affordable price.
It is also healthier (people tend to live longer) and with a diet of fresh food
it is pleasant longevity.
Of course nowhere is perfect or ideal for everyone and it does take a sense of adventure and some courage to take that first step, especially after retirement but if you plan it well and become properly informed, it can be a good experience.
