Cullera...
The area just south of Valencia has an intriguing mixture of development and agriculture. I seems to have escaped the attentions of Brits apart from a few small centres. The port of Cullera is well worth a visit and within very easy reach are some of the finest beaches anywhere in Spain, many of them almost deserted.
Inland are the paddy fields where 'black' or 'paella' rice is grown in vast quantities.
The attraction of this area of the Costa Blanca would for many be the close proximity of Valencia where there are now cheap flights from several UK airports.
