Paraiso Homes is a brand-new privately owned estate agency based in Beniganim, not far from Gandia on the Costa Blanca.  We specialise in helping people from the UK and other EU countries who want to buy, rent or build a property in Spain. 

Unlike some agencies who are keen to sell you a property and presume "caveat emptor" or in other words "buyer beware", we offer a complete and impartial service that covers everything from finance to legal representation to contractors.  This ensures that you will always be reliably informed and in control.  Our advice might not always be what you want to hear but it will help you to avoid being one of the horror stories you might have  heard about or seen on television. 

We believe in the ethics of service and honesty based on personal experience so before you rush to buy a property in Spain, speak to us and start off on the right track - we are here to help you every step of the way.

  1. Buying property in Spain is quite different than in the UK and has many pitfalls you should know about before you start.

  2. Not all property in Spain is legal and might not even have proper deeds but you won't be told until after you paid your deposit. 

  3. There is no gazumping in Spain.  If you back out of an agreement you lose your deposit.  If the vendor backs out, they have to pay you twice your deposit back.

  4. Basic utilities such as electricity, telephones and even water are not always accessible outside towns and cities so not all homes can have them.

  5. House buyers in Spain inherit debts and taxes secured on a property or house, including claims from people who might have an interest in the property

  6. If you don't speak Spanish, you will feel 'out of your depth' and vulnerable and many vendors will exploit this to your disadvantage.
